With a physician’s prescription, all FDA approved smoking cessation products are covered at 100% for participants age 18 and older who are enrolled in a Washington University health plan.  This includes:

  • Nicotine transdermal (generics and brand Nicoderm CQ)
  • Nicotine polacrilex (gum/lozenges) – (generics and brands Commit, Thrive, and Nicorette)
  • Nicotine Nasal Spray (Nicotrol HS)
  • Nicotine Inhalation System (Nicotrol Inhaler)
  • Bupropion HCI sustained-release 150 mg (generics and brand Zyban)
  • Varenicline (Chantix)
