Emily has over 13 years of experience working in higher education as a health educator, wellness coach, team manager and program developer. She directed programming for the Wellness Center at Rice University from 2003 – 2013, focusing on the needs of undergraduate and graduate students. Emily arrived at Washington University in St. Louis in 2014 to assume this new position and to help grow employee wellness initiatives. She enjoys dancing, reading, watching movies, eating interesting foods and watching her young son grow.
Nikki Hafner, Employee Wellness Coordinator
Nikki has over seven years of experience working in the public sector, working with wellness initiatives and community engagement. In 2016 she transferred from the Medical School, where she served as Administrative Coordinator in the Human Research Protection Office and worked closely with their committee of volunteers. Prior to her time at Washington University, Nikki worked in local government where she coordinated wellness initiatives, including activity tracking competitions and reward incentive programs for employees. Nikki enjoys being outdoors with her husband and their dog, spending time with friends and family, bicycling, reading, watching movies, knitting, and cooking. She is very excited for the opportunity to promote an environment of health and wellness to Washington University employees.
